My empirical evidence is good buddy of mine who is a certified Toyota mechanic, worked on nuclear submarines in the navy. He tells me ever since ethanol hit the market he finds all kinds of goo in carburetors. Granted, he did not specifically mention fuel injectors, but they would seem even more suceptible to me.
